McLarty Associates is seeking a motivated, resourceful, highly organized individual for a part-time, entry-level intern position to support our Office of the President. We are seeking an individual who can work part-time (20-25 hours/week) starting early January. This position is based in Washington, D.C. and the intern will be expected to work in person at least twice a week.
As an intern, you will work on a variety of projects with different engagement teams. The internship aims to give you exposure to the breadth of our services and client work. You will work closely with our professionals – Associate through Director – and gain first-hand experience in consulting. Your assignments may involve administrative work, news tracking, and preliminary research support.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

office duties (answering phones, greeting clients, reserving conference rooms, setting up technology for meetings, managing office calendars, mail delivery and shipping, etc.);

providing support to the Associate in the Office of the President (assist with calendar, organizing firm internal events, preparing for internal meetings, etc.);

providing periodic firm-wide support (scheduling, researching, editing, preparing presentations, telephone calls);
-
assisting with business development efforts including company profiles and business proposals;

performing periodic ad hoc tasks for other firm directors and practices, such as compiling biographies, preparing presentations and client deliverables;

assisting firmwide communications and collaborations, tracking McLarty Associates in the news/media, and tracking events for clients;

assisting firm-wide communications; assisting professional staff with general office and administrative support; and other duties as assigned.
Ideal candidates for this position possess an interest in international affairs, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to learn how a geopolitical consulting firm operates. Proficiency in one or more foreign languages is desirable, but not required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.
